Hellenic Suite
(1995)
During the summer of his nineteenth year, the composer worked as a keyboardist with a band performing in a Greek nightclub. The music of Greece and the eastern Mediterranean has been a tremendous influence in many subsequent works. Each movement of this piece is based on a different regional dance of Greece.
